Our Communities
GROWING
We are intrinsically connected to the communities that surround our feedyards, as our families live there, go to school there and work there. It’s our responsibility to grow and support our local communities through initiatives, education and donations.
VOLUNTEERING AND GIVING
Our employees give hundreds of hours of their time to local charities throughout the year, including to 4-H, FFA, volunteer fire departments, churches and youth sports. We also donate fresh, quality beef to local food banks and pantries every year.
TEACHING
We’ve created a branch of Cobalt Cattle University to introduce local high school seniors to careers in agriculture and the cattle industry. Offered in English and Spanish, it’s a four-year technical and leadership training program equipping them to become future company leaders.
Since 1969, the feedyards of Cobalt Cattle have been feeding and growing cattle. Today, we are the fourth-largest cattle feeding operation in the United States, with a combined total of six feedyards and 355,000 head of cattle in Colorado, Kansas and Texas.
